Stockholm, Dec. 9 (CED) — About ten years ago at a China Forum held in Stockholm, a Chinese expert from Renmin University of China said with a smile that China would not go to Middle East, because that was American Area. It sounded like a joke, but the underline meaning everybody knew that America was fighting in the region, who dared to go in to do anything?

Through Stockholm Film Festival, you could see that some countries had been turned into a burned area without anything left. What was really left was the refugee camp with rape, hunger and fear.

But this kind of life should not last forever. With the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, many Arab and middle East countries wish to develop further.

They really wish to reestablish infrastructure and reconstruct their country. Saudi Arabia used to be a country to export oil and still is. But after America found oil themselves, they asked Saudi to reduce production.

Saudi Arabia found that if they only had relationship with one country, it will be very difficult. Thus they wish to diversify their economy. That means not just to have oil trade, they also like to have manufacturing.

Think of it, in the future, the Arab countries wanted to develop manufacturing because they have oil and they should be able to produce chemical products too if they got technology.

Thus they like to improve relations with China because China is good at manufacturing and infrastructure construction.

Historically China and Arab countries have good relationship. Thus these countries are along the belt and road initiative countries. That is why Saudi Arabia is willing to join Belt and Road and signed all round strategic partnership agreement with China.

The world is changing indeed. Meanwhile, the US is going to improve relations with Africa since infrastructure there substantially improved.

May the world peaceful and develop in a peaceful environment.
